The latest on the green energy market (all times local): 11:30am A green energy company called Amino Energy is the first in the UK to sign a deal to supply electricity to a US electric car maker, Tesla Motors.
The deal is expected to be completed in 2018.
11:40am A new wave of solar energy, including wind and solar thermal, is expected in the coming weeks.
12:30pm Solar thermal is set to become more widely available to UK homes, with the launch of the UK’s first commercial solar thermal thermal system. 13:00pm A new solar thermal power plant in the Midlands has been approved by the UK government, which aims to generate 100MW of electricity per year.
14:00am A second solar thermal plant in Manchester has been granted planning permission to build a 300MW plant, to be used in conjunction with the UK Power Grid.
